MDS Completion Specialist

 We are looking for a detail-oriented MDS Completion Specialist to manage and ensure accurate and timely completion of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for our healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, familiarity with CMS regulations, and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance and supporting facility teams in improving quality outcomes. 

• Accurately complete and submit MDS assessments within required timeframes.
• Review medical records, progress notes, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure accurate data entry and care plan development.
• Monitor MDS schedules to prevent overdue or missing assessments.
• Ensure documentation aligns with resident care and clinical findings.
• Stay current with CMS guidelines, RAI process updates, and PDPM requirements.
• Identify discrepancies or missing information and communicate with nursing staff for corrections.
• Assist in audits, validation checks, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve MDS workflows and processes.

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) preferred.
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in MDS completion or clinical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of MDS 3.0, RAI process, and PDPM.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in MDS software and EHR systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of CMS compliance and quality measures.

• Computer or Laptop – Minimum 8GB RAM and reliable processor (i5 or higher).
• Stable Internet Connection – At least 20 Mbps with a reliable backup option.
• Noise-Cancelling Headset – For clear communication with facility staff and clients.
• External Webcam – For virtual meetings and compliance verification.
• Backup Power Source – UPS or power bank to prevent disruptions.
